Meringue-Topped Raspberry Cupcakes

Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
2 egg yolks
3 tablespoons raspberry liqueur or raspberry juice blend
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup milk
4 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
2/3 cup sugar
12 raspberries

Cherry Baby Cakes

Ingredients
1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup cherry marmalade or cherry preserves, large pieces snipped if necessary
30 maraschino cherries with stems, drained
1 recipe Powdered Sugar Icing
