For the Anti-Valentiners

Valentine's Day is not always a happy day.  For those who are mourning a broken relationship or for those who have been single a while and are feeling the loneliness of this day, it can be a time one dreads instead of celebrates.

I've been in a relationship for a long time now, so to be honest, it is not a day that is particularly important to me anymore.  However, I do remember the early days of relationships when it has been exciting... and I also remember the times I've been broken-hearted and being without that person on Valentine's Day only intensified my loneliness.

So in recognition that Valentine's Day is not always a happy day for some... this is for you...

Everything happens for a reason...

Although you may feel it, you are not truly alone...

Make this day an excuse to get together with the girls to celebrate your friendship...

Or use this day as an excuse to take a "personal day" and curl up with comfort food while watching episode after episode of Sex and the City... these ladies always helped me realize things were as not bad as they seemed and that things WILL get better!  Not to mention, they help to remind you to appreciate your girlfriends :)

And if all else fails, some good old fashioned male bashing might just make you feel better!
